Was their only crime being little girls? In a society that still hasn’t understood that spaying and neutering pets is the only way to stop this endless cycle of suffering, stories like theirs continue to happen. Despite the many spay campaigns we put so much effort into organising regularly, we are still contacted about abandoned little babies almost every single day. These two wonderful sweethearts certainly didn’t deserve such a start in life. As we couldn't just leave them to their fate, that chapter is behind them now. Dolly and Poppy are safe in foster care, growing beautifully and enjoying all the good kitty food their little bellies could possibly desire.🧡 Both girls are absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully sweet and they each have their own personality and need to be understood and loved as individuals. 🌼 Dolly is the braver and more confident of the two. Give her a little attention and a few cuddles and it usually doesn’t take long at all before her little purr motor starts running. 🥹 🌸 Poppy is a little more cautious and needs some time to decide that a new human can be trusted. Once she feels safe, however, she can be every bit as purry and affectionate and happily enjoy all the cuddles her humans have to give. Like all kittens, they both love to play - with each other, with their toys and, naturally, with anything else they decide qualifies as entertainment. 😄 They have grown up together and get along beautifully, so Dolly and Poppy would make a wonderful little ready-made pair for someone who falls in love with both of them. 🧡🧡 Both girls are looking for an indoor-only home, or a home with access to a secure catio or properly cat-proofed garden, where they can safely enjoy the rest of their kittenhood - followed, naturally, by a very long and thoroughly spoiled life. 😄 Dolly can be adopted together with Poppy or separately, as long as there is already another friendly cat in her future home. 🐈🐈 🐶 The girls have not been tested with dogs yet, but we believe they could live happily with a calm, cat-friendly dog following careful and properly managed introductions.  Wilma – The Gentle Sweetheart of Bedrock   Indoor only or with catio / cat-proofed garden  Can live with cat-savvy children +8yo  Must be adopted with either Bam-Bam or Pebbles  Can live with cat-friendly dogs Before you meet Wilma, let us tell you how her little family came into our lives.  The Flintstones kittens - Wilma, Pebbles, and Bam-Bam - were born to a poor stray mum who showed up near our shelter one day, skinny, scared, and desperate. We began feeding her and her babies, but she was too frightened to let us near. One day, she disappeared… and never came back.  Her three kittens were left all alone, tiny and confused, as winter was closing in. We couldn’t let them face the cold and danger out there. So we spent days and evenings sitting nearby, speaking softly to them, bringing food, and slowly earning their trust. Eventually, we managed to grab the friendly ones and safely trap the shyer one. That’s how the Flintstones kittens finally came into our care - and how we kept our promise to their poor mum: that her babies’ lives would be different.  Now safe, warm, and loved, little Wilma is ready to start her next chapter. She’s the most gentle of the trio - shy at first, cautious with new people, but with the biggest, softest heart once she feels safe.  She adores snuggling with her siblings, watching the world with her big curious eyes, and yes - enjoying every single meal (the Flintstones kittens are famously united by their huge appetites ). Wilma would love to be adopted together with one of her siblings, Pebbles or Bam-Bam - they’ve always been her rock and help her feel brave in new places. Her forever home should be indoor-only, or with safe access to a catio or cat-proofed garden, so she’ll always be protected.  Wilma may have started her life with heartbreak, but her story can and must still have the happiest ending.
